Artist Statement
ARTIST STATEMENT
Guided by a sense of freedom, spontaneity, and a deep attention to process, I explore various subjects and mediums to create artworks that are compelling without being literal representations. My work expresses feelings through colors and images, sometimes drawn from the subconscious and other times from my everyday surroundings.
Texture is the most distinctive mark of my works. I begin by creating layers of textures, allowing the forms to evolve naturally as I progress. Using a variety of tools and techniques, I build depth and complexity, representing energy, movement, and the emotional connections that tie us to one another.
My journey into art began quite unexpectedly. While deciding on paint colors for my walls, I found myself captivated by the process of mixing and applying paint. This accidental discovery ignited a passion for creating art that has since become a central part of my life. This serendipitous moment taught me to embrace spontaneity and let the creative process guide me, a philosophy that continues to shape my work today.
Inspired by nature and the elements, I aim to create an emotional connection with viewers, inviting them to embark on a journey of discovery and self-interpretation within the "Cohesive Intentional Chaos" I create.
